Clutch

OS Giken twin plate The OS Giken Twin plate carbon/carbon clutch came with the car when I bought it. It makes a rattly noise when the pedal is depressed, and I've had a few people tell me at a set of lights that my car rattles, when I tell them its a twin plate clutch they don't understand. Then it grips like a mutha-f%#ker going through the gears.

OS Giken twin plate The clutch wasn't easy to get off the flywheel while on the 7M as it had 12 small allen key bolts that were put on TIGHT. No amount of impact driver work could get them loose.
We ended up welding some small hex-head bolts onto one at a time and then with vice grips on the base and a socket wrench on the head we just got them off. New bolts were bought and put in when the clutch went back on.

Slave Cylinder After taking the engine and gearbox out of the car, and disconnecting two suspicious braided hoses going into the belhousing where there should've been a clutch fork we noticed there was a bonus in the form of the slave cylinder for the clutch was situated on the spline of the gearbox. This was something else I wanted to keep. When getting my bellhousing made I was asked which side I wanted the hole for the clutch fork, I opted for no hole at all and instead drilled two holes in the belhousing and fed the braided hydrollic hoses of the slave cylinder through these, we also made some rubber grommets out of an old rubber spark plug lead and fed it on so its snug and no dangerous dirt particles can get to my precious clutch.
